About the role
- Overseeing 6-7 full time direct reports in determining coverage, compensability, and benefits due
- Ensures ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements
- Identifies subrogation of claims and clear action plans
- Reviews and approves settlement of claims within designated authority
- Responsible for overseeing reserve establishment for designated claims
- Monitors necessary state filings within statutory limits
- Oversees the litigation process and ensures timely resolution
- Reviews vendor referrals utilized in investigation and/or litigation management
- Communicates claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client
- Reviews and maintains supervisory diary on claim system
- Leads team manager meetings and assigns accountability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Workers’ Compensation licensing a plus
- Five to ten years of adjusting experience
- Three to Five years of prior supervisory experience
- Familiarity with state workers’ compensation laws and regulations
- Strong communication and prior training experience
