About the role
- Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT frameworks
- Develop and optimize data warehouse models to support analytics, automation, and reporting
- Implement quality checks, observability, and monitoring for data integrity and reliability
- Build abstractions and frameworks for scalable ingestion and transformation of structured and unstructured data
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and leadership to deliver consistent, actionable insights
- Leverage cloud-native infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code for data storage, compute, and deployment
- Continuously refine data architecture to meet evolving performance, scalability, and compliance needs
- Deliver reliable data flows that support analytics, automation, and operational efficiency
- Reduce manual reporting by building scalable, self-service data solutions
- Improve trust in data quality and accessibility through automated validation and monitoring
- Enable faster and more informed decision-making by delivering unified data assets
- Ensure the organization’s data ecosystem is scalable, compliant, and future-ready
- Champion data solutions that deliver immediate value and long-term innovation
- Work hours aligned with local timezone or Pacific timezone 8a-5p M-F; flexible to travel to Vegas roughly 4-6 times per year; may require additional hours/weekends before events/holidays
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling data infrastructure
- Proven ability to design and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and distributed data systems
- Expertise in SQL
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (TypeScript, Python, or Scala)
- Strong knowledge of databases, data modeling, and cloud-based architectures
- Experience with AWS, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and monitoring/alerting systems
- Familiarity with agent-driven development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code
- Must live in one of the states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin
