About the role

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT frameworks
  • Develop and optimize data warehouse models to support analytics, automation, and reporting
  • Implement quality checks, observability, and monitoring for data integrity and reliability
  • Build abstractions and frameworks for scalable ingestion and transformation of structured and unstructured data
  • Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and leadership to deliver consistent, actionable insights
  • Leverage cloud-native infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code for data storage, compute, and deployment
  • Continuously refine data architecture to meet evolving performance, scalability, and compliance needs
  • Deliver reliable data flows that support analytics, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Reduce manual reporting by building scalable, self-service data solutions
  • Improve trust in data quality and accessibility through automated validation and monitoring
  • Enable faster and more informed decision-making by delivering unified data assets
  • Ensure the organization’s data ecosystem is scalable, compliant, and future-ready
  • Champion data solutions that deliver immediate value and long-term innovation
  • Work hours aligned with local timezone or Pacific timezone 8a-5p M-F; flexible to travel to Vegas roughly 4-6 times per year; may require additional hours/weekends before events/holidays

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling data infrastructure
  • Proven ability to design and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and distributed data systems
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language (TypeScript, Python, or Scala)
  • Strong knowledge of databases, data modeling, and cloud-based architectures
  • Experience with AWS, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and monitoring/alerting systems
  • Familiarity with agent-driven development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code
  • Must live in one of the states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin
