Design and scale Databricks-based data platform to support analytics and AI
Build robust data pipelines and model multi-source healthcare data (claims, EMR/EHR, HIE, HIN)
Architect, develop, and maintain Databricks-based data pipelines to integrate healthcare data (claims, clinical, operational)
Design and implement scalable data models and subject-area data marts
Implement data quality, lineage, security, and compliance frameworks
Optimize platform performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Mentor and guide data engineers, setting coding standards and best practices
Lead technical decisions and partner with analytics, product, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
Collaborate with analytics, product, and business teams to deliver data solutions
Perform other duties consistent with this role, as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other quantitative discipline
8 years of technology experience
5 years of data experience within the healthcare industry
Proven experience designing and building data pipelines on Databricks
Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data transformations, validation, and automation
Deep understanding of data modeling techniques, best practices, and specifics of healthcare data
Experience integrating healthcare data sources such as claims, EMR/EHR, and HIE feeds
FHIR knowledge preferred
Knowledge of data governance, lineage, security, and HIPAA compliance requirements
Ability to optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
Experience mentoring engineers and establishing coding and architecture standards
Strong collaboration skills to work with analytics, product, and business stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Intermediate skills with MS Office Suite of products including Outlook and Teams
Able to work effectively in a primarily remote environment
Home internet must support a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps. Cable, Fiber, or DSL connections hardwired to the internet device are recommended
