About the role
- Promotes alcohol products for suppliers at multiple Target locations within a geography.
- Introduce customers to new and exciting items and brands.
- Adhere to a specific dress code for alcohol sampling.
- Knowledge and Compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws specific to the marketing of alcohol.
- Appropriate permit, license or certification required based on location.
- Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Can effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and influence buying decisions on the product with the consumer.
- Role performed during in-store and/or off-site/special events.
- Supplies/provides materials such as product brochures and/or samples.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning products.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly set up and prepare for event execution.
- Take photographs to document event success stories as required.
- Assist with preparation for client visits.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel.
- Train store personnel on promoting product features and benefits.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- One year of sales experience
- Outgoing good communicator
- Must be able to stand for 4 hours
- Must have a computer at home.
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Friday, Saturday, and Monday Required
- Reliable access to a smartphone or tablet on days worked (BYOD)
- Ability to stand to perform the event for the duration of the event
- Local Food handlers permit may be required
- Proficient use of a Personal Computer and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds)
- Move and set up a display weighing 50 to 100 pounds
- Tattoos must not be visible while engaged in work assignments
