About the role
- The Multimedia intern is an integral member of the team, assisting with production of the ACLU’s in-house podcast as well as videos.
- Interns will conduct research, draft scripts and paper edits, transcribe and review interview footage, edit videos, assist on shoots and interviews, and participate in brainstorms and meetings.
- Work closely with producer and hosts of ACLU’s in-house podcast and pitch topics and provide background research for each episode.
- Manage and edit podcast taping transcripts and prepare publish packaging for podcast episodes.
- Research video topics, draft scripts, review and transcribe video footage.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in audio storytelling, journalism, and video production
- Excellent writing and research skills
- Experience with audio and video editing and experience working in an editorial environment preferred
- Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize
