About the role

  • Own business development activities across assigned European countries and target accounts.
  • Proactively identify, research, and engage target accounts using email, phone, LinkedIn, and social selling.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria before converting them into sales-ready opportunities.
  • Schedule well-qualified meetings for Regional Sales Directors and Account Executives.
  • Conduct detailed account and contact research, including account mapping and identifying key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Build a strong understanding of ACI Worldwide’s solutions, value propositions, and use cases across payments, fraud, and real-time transactions.
  • Align outreach with regional marketing campaigns, events, webinars, and ABM initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce, including contact data, activity tracking, and lead status.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and SDR leadership to optimize messaging, targeting, and conversion rates.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline contribution targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Sales Development, Business Development, or Inside Sales role (B2B preferred, Payments will be an added advantage)
  • Strong outbound prospecting and lead qualification capabilities
  • Ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, and C-level executives
  • Experience scheduling discovery or qualification meetings for enterprise sales teams
  • Strong account research and mapping skills, including identifying buying committees and business drivers
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and data tools to build target account intelligence
  • Ability to tailor messaging based on industry, geography, and role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional European languages are a strong advantage)
  • Ability to articulate business value clearly and concisely
  • Confident, professional, and persistent approach to outreach
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Hub spot and similar CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with marketing-generated leads, ABM campaigns, and event-driven follow-up
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working remotely
  • Highly coachable with a strong desire to learn enterprise payments and financial technology
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across Sales and Marketing
