About the role
- Directs the activities of the Network Engineering team
- Direct responsibility over technical, operational and long-term strategic direction of secure and highly resilient and regulated network architecture
- Works with business and technical stakeholders to assess new requirements and identify solutions consistent with long term Network strategy
- Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
- Provides direct supervision to individual contributors
- Lead and manage the network engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure to support business operations
- Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of network solutions
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network-related services and equipment
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and manage budgets for network engineering projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable
