About the role
- Work cross-functionally across the business to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions
- Review all new business activities to ensure timely identification of accounting and financial reporting matters
- Prepare high quality accounting memorandums for senior management and auditors
- Foster strong partnerships with cross-functional partners to understand contractual arrangements, transactions and operational structures
- Provide accounting expertise, including options and recommendations for transaction structuring
- Support financial audits with preparing audit requests, coordinating information requests, compiling technical accounting assessments
- Participate in both formal and informal reviews with business to ensure financial statement disclosures are complete and accurate
- Assist in the evaluation, maintenance, and performance of key controls over technical accounting
Requirements
- Accounting Degree and CPA required
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, (minimum 5 years in a leadership role)
- Big 4 or Mid-Tier experience as a manager or Sr. Manager
- Strong / Advanced Technical GAAP experience with ASC 230, 326, 606, 810, 815, 820, and 860
- Technical writing skills (memos and implementation documentation)
- Financial Services or Fin-tech industry experience a plus
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced excel skills
- Oracle experience a plus
