Drive delivery of our AI and Ambient Scribe capability, to save healthcare professionals time and allow them to focus more on the patient and less on admin, and to streamline onward communication.
You’ll be responsible for user-facing product features for Ambient Scribe, one of the key areas for investment in 2026 and opening up exciting opportunities within secondary care.
You'll be accountable for the delivery of high-impact features: Translate product priorities into actionable delivery plans for your team. Ensure features are delivered on time, with visibility into progress, quality, and measurable impact.
You manage the process and the mechanisms used by the team to deliver on their commitments.
You take the lead in ensuring goals are achievable, with appropriate assessment and decomposition of work, sequencing, and capacity planning (in collaboration with the expertise in your team).
You ensure the team manage the health of their systems confidently and responsibly.
Guide technical direction: Work with the engineers on your team to make appropriate architectural and system design decisions within your team’s product area. Champion best practices around code quality, monitoring, alerting, and service health.
Lead and grow your team: Manage and mentor your engineers, supporting recruitment, development, performance reviews, promotions, and conflict resolution. Build a culture that is collaborative, high-performing, and focused on delivering impact.
Enable cross-team success: Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to unblock dependencies and ensure alignment across the business.

Requirements

Strong technical background with experience in C# or Java, or a similar role within the software delivery lifecycle.
Experience in user-centric, multidisciplinary teams, working closely with product, UX, and commercial functions.
A strong business mindset to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Delivery-focused with experience in agile teams, able to create clear delivery plans that ensure visibility on results and impact.
An understanding of best practices around monitoring, alerting, and maintaining service health.
The ability to contribute to technical decisions and participate in discussions on system and service design.
Strong management experience overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, conflict resolution, performance management, and promotions.
