About the role

  • To support the purchasing function by procuring stock requirements, maintaining supplier communication, monitoring order progress, and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer and business needs.
  • Raising purchase orders based on the requirements.
  • Escalating any issues with the availability of required products to the team.
  • Responding to any procurement related issues in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the other merchandising teams when required.
  • Liaise with manufacturing partners and internal teams in order to ensure timely and efficient receipt of goods.
  • Review and resolve inbound issues to minimise delays.

Requirements

  • Strong communication: Ability to build professional relationships with manufacturing partners and communicate clearly with internal departments.
  • Problem-solving skills: A logical approach to identifying delays or availability issues and the confidence to escalate them effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset: A team-player attitude with a willingness to support the wider functions when required.
  • Desirable (but not essential) - Basic understanding of lead times and inventory management.
