Accountant

• The Senior Accountant works behind the scenes within the Implementation Team to assist with ensuring all client deliverables are achieved in a timely fashion during the client onboarding process.
• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various special projects, back work and daily projects as assigned within Implementation Team.
• This is a behind the scenes role that will typically not include client calls, but may have some email correspondence with clients.
• The Senior Accountant will play an integral role by supporting the Implementation Division with achieving their client related goals.
• Full Cycle Accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger)
• Set up customer and vendor accounts
• Perform daily bank reconciliation of deposits
• Post daily cash receipts from lockbox and electronic deposits
• Post Journal Entries into QuickBooks Land Freight Costs into QuickBooks
• Assist with monthly close process
• Document and prepare financial reports
• Assess, organize, and prioritize tasks, responsibilities for multiple clients on a daily basis to meet onboarding goals and deadlines
• Exercises sound judgment in making decisions while working on individual client needs
• When needed, train Accountants when transitioning client to Client Services team
• Display confidence in identifying problems and make recommendations on solutions.
• Provide feedback to Onboarding Success Managers & Process Leads on Accountants performance during training.

Senior Accountant, Implementation

• The Senior Accountant role is responsible for handling complex accrual-based accounting tasks for multiple clients.
• Maintain books for multiple clients on an accrual basis, often with the help of an Assistant or Accountant as needed
• Completion of timely and accurate monthly close process and financial reporting, including class reporting, job-costing, analysis of account categories and defining trends
• Manage all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including unbilled revenue, deferred income, and bad debt allowances
• Manage all aspects of the accounts payable process, including vendor bills, and online payments
• Prepare cash management flash report
• Responsible for properly tracking inventory and identifying unusual or unexpected results
• Responsible for fixed asset and intangible asset management, including maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules and posting related journal entries for acquisitions and disposals
• Payroll processing using Intuit or other third-party payroll applications and review quarterly and annual reports such as: W-2, W-3, 941, and state U/E.
• Ability to identify and resolve payroll issues
• Support management with gathering documentation for budgets, forecasts and annual audits
• Record and maintain financing transactions, such as loans and investments, including proper classification of short-term and long-term commitments
• Evaluate lease contracts to determine short-term/long-term classification
• Calculate and prepare tax forms and payments, such as sales & use tax, property tax returns, and client-specific business tax and franchise tax filings
• Assist with review and preparation of 1099s and year-end payroll inclusions
• Updating and maintaining data for established KPIs
• Responsible for updating various dashboards and reports and budgets in Jirav

Senior Accountant

• The Accountant's responsibilities include A/P, A/R, payroll and month-end closing processes, as well as other accounting related functions as requested by client
• Must be comfortable with communicating with clients, both on the phone and webcam, while placing a high emphasis on client service in this role
• Daily accounts payable, accounts receivable/invoicing and banking for multiple clients, as required
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of daily transactions
• Posting of journal entries to balance sheet and income statement based upon predetermined methods and routines
• Update balance sheet accounts, including weekly and monthly reconciliations
• Conduct daily posting and/or downloads for bank accounts/credit cards, as required
• Process client payroll with 3rd party vendor
• Successfully use, monitor and review any 3rd party applications per client request/requirements
• Review and process monthly and/or quarterly sales and use tax, as required
• Reconcile quarterly payroll filings with the general ledger
• Review and manage month end close process
• Occasional special projects as requested
• Lead client calls to provide high emphasis on customer service
• Supports budget and forecasting activities
• Other duties as assigned

Controller

• Leading and mentoring accounting team for assigned clients
• Manage the month-end closing and issuance of financial reports to all clients, every month
• Develop client’s annual budget and maintain cash forecasting tools as needed to support long term planning
• Analyze financial and operational data to provide real-time recommendations
• Coordinate the provision of information to external audits for the annual audit or review
