About the role
- Canon Information Technology Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and creative Training Developer Specialist to craft impactful learning experiences that drive performance and support growth.
- You’ll design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs across formats—including instructor-led sessions, self-paced eLearning modules, video tutorials, and collaborative learning environments.
- You’ll play a vital role in fostering a high-performance learning culture that promotes employee development and contributes to organizational success.
- Key responsibilities: create engaging eLearning, instructor-led, and blended learning content focused on product knowledge, policies/procedures, and customer service excellence.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, learner-friendly instructional materials.
- Develop online competency-based assessments to measure learning outcomes and training effectiveness.
- Partner with product teams to deliver timely and relevant training for new features, tools, and systems.
- Regularly update training materials to ensure alignment with operational needs and business changes.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate training sessions, gather feedback, and refine content to improve learner engagement and retention.
- Create SCORM-compliant materials compatible with Learning Management Systems.
- Continuously enhance instructional materials, design skills, and apply best practices to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to ensure the success of training initiatives
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or related field is a plus)
- 2–4 years of related experience in training development, instructional design, or a similar field
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM familiarity is a plus
- Strong project management, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
