About the role

  • Manage and grow the assigned wealth management portfolio
  • Provide exceptional service to existing and potential members through the sale of mutual fund products and basic planning services
  • Drive growth by serving the needs of small account investors and referring larger accounts to the Wealth Advisor
  • Oversee small account platform by managing assigned mutual fund portfolio
  • Proactively work to retain and expand existing member relationships while pursuing new sources of business
  • Provide basic financial and investment solutions for new and existing Credit Union members
  • Operate as the primary contact for assigned members
  • Identify holistic member needs/goals and refer identified non-mutual fund sales and service opportunities
  • Provide members with basic planning strategies such as retirement and education
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union and compliance policies

Requirements

  • Valid Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Newly licensed with financial services experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to motivate others and work within a dedicated team environment
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
  • Thorough understanding of a variety of investment products and services including mutual funds, term deposits, and registered investment products
  • Basic understanding of financial planning concepts
  • Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
  • Proficient computer skills
