About the role
- Own a dedicated “AI transformation pod”, partnering with a specific go-to-market function
- Identify high-impact opportunities for AI transformation
- Collaborate with go-to-market stakeholders and business leaders to validate AI Transformation ideas
- Define product requirements and roadmaps for AI-native solutions
- Leverage AI-enabled developer tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc) to rapidly develop and iterate on solutions for users across Abnormal
- Manage the full product lifecycle from conception to deployment
- Measure and report on impact of deployed solutions
- Present pod updates to executive leadership and evangelize new initiatives directly to potential users
- Identify and scope high leverage opportunities for the AI Platform Engineering team to build reusable infrastructure that can benefit the AI Transformation pods.
Requirements
- Technical degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
- Coursework in AI/ML, product development, or entrepreneurship
- Product management experience with demonstrable AI product expertise
- Prior work experience in Software Engineering
- Strong understanding of LLMs, agents, and modern AI capabilities
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills at the executive level
- Ability to translate complex operational problems into AI-powered solutions
- Track record of measuring and communicating business impact to stakeholders
- Comfort presenting to and engaging with C-suite executives and board members
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience with AI tools (Cursor, v0, Claude Code, etc.)
- GitHub profile or portfolio showing self-initiated projects
- Nice to have: Prior work experience at an enterprise software company
- Nice to have: Internships at tech companies (especially startups)
- Nice to have: Research assistant positions in AI/ML labs
- Nice to have: Hackathon participation and awards
- Nice to have: Product-focused roles or projects
- Nice to have: Open source contributions
