About the role
- Partner with Enterprise Accounts field teams to develop pricing strategy for national and regional health care systems (GPOs and IDNs).
- Provide pricing analysis, P&L impact, contract development and execution for large customers.
- Work within guidelines for contract approval, pricing approval and contract creation; seek approvals when outside guidelines.
- Negotiate contractual terms with internal and external customers.
- Lead planning calls with CSEs, RSDs and AVPs to prepare RFP responses and align pricing strategy and analytics.
- Assist with training of fellow employees and participate in special projects.
- Own contract creation from start to finish, utilize internal and customer templates and create custom language.
- Review and redline contract terms and coordinate with Legal and other departments on contract redlines.
- Execute formal requests for proposals (RFPs)/(RFIs).
- Understand GPO contractual obligations and impacts on contracting processes and product launches.
- Apply critical thinking and problem solving to arrive at viable solutions for complex customer requests.
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Management, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, OEC and Legal to support sales and profit goals.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree Preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business, finance or strategic pricing and contracting (minimum 7 years required).
- Prior experience as Abbott Medical Devices Business Analyst in a Business Unit preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and with general supervision; must be autonomous.
- Leadership, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- High level technical skills to build customized analytics based on customer situation.
- Ability to recognize technical needs and build/implement supporting tools.
- Strong quantitative & qualitative analysis skills, including experience working with large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with remote sites & business partners and build relationships with Sales personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand complex contract terms and conditions in a highly regulated industry.
- Willingness to travel (about 5% of the time).
