About the role
- Provide clinical and sales support through education of current and potential customers for Abbott’s Stroke Prevention Structural Heart products.
- Train interventional cardiologists, catheter lab staff and ancillary personnel on the use of Structural Heart products.
- Provide technical support to physicians during procedures and serve as primary resource for surgical coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education.
- Collaborate with Territory Managers to provide good case coverage and clinical outcomes for patients.
- Communicate product, clinical and market data to appropriate personnel and inform customers of latest product, therapy and technology developments.
- Actively engage in clinical, procedural and technical discussions and link data outcomes to key messaging.
- Meet with existing and potential health care providers to identify clinical needs and provide creative and feasible solutions.
- Support the company’s efforts to develop and implement product marketing strategies.
- Travel frequently to assigned territory (may exceed 50% of time).
Requirements
- BS/BA or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of related cardiovascular work experience.
- Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19 (medical or religious accommodations available via HR).
- Strong clinical orientation and ability to influence a variety of clinician personality types.
- Experience with products for use in interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery.
- Familiarity with echo cardiology and other indirect imaging.
- Strong consideration for candidates with EP (Electrophysiology) and SH (Structural Heart) sales experience.
- Preferred: Degree in life sciences or medical training (RN, EMT, Perfusion, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to travel in excess of 50%.
- Ability to provide clinical/procedural support in hospital/catheter lab environments.
