About the role

  • Represent the company and its products to the media and customers in a positive manner.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s sales and marketing goals and objectives and implement initiatives to achieve them.
  • Plan and implement outreach programs to engage potential customers.
  • Share customer feedback with the company to improve products and services, and contribute to the development of marketing ideas.
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with purchasing offices and customers.
  • Lead product training and manage inventory readiness initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, microbiology, engineering (biomedical, electrical, or mechanical), medical technology, or business is preferred.
  • One to three years of experience working in a laboratory environment performing diagnostic tasks in chemistry, pathology, microbiology, or blood banking (an asset).
  • Three to five years of sales experience, including soliciting healthcare professionals and medical laboratory technicians to meet sales objectives.
  • Experience with salesforce.com and PowerBI.
  • Experience interacting with customers.
  • Strong people management and communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work independently.
  • Negotiation skills and experience with sales techniques and sales cycles.
  • Commitment to addressing customer needs through active listening and translating them into action plans.
  • Customer service orientation and client-focused mindset.
  • Deep understanding of the diagnostic laboratory environment, including workflow, equipment maintenance, quality control, result validation, and operations.
  • Good understanding of the procurement process within their territory or province (group purchasing organizations, government approval processes, budget approvals, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the sales process and experience in account management.
  • Understanding of the concept of expanding the value of the existing installed base.
  • Anticipate, identify, and meet the needs and requests of internal and external customers; de-escalate and resolve conflicts; maintain professional behavior even under stressful conditions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication to achieve business objectives and foster customer relationships.
  • Effective time management: set priorities and define tasks required to meet objectives; organize own activities and time to complete multi-dimensional tasks and cases; manage daily workload related to call documentation.
  • Bilingual in French and English required.
  • Travel approximately 50%.
