About the role
- Defining, improving and road mapping the architecture and designs for our APMT – Business enabling platform covering Sales & Commercial, Finance, Procurement, Digital Asset Management and safety Platform and associated products services and solutions
- Providing architectural leadership to the team to ensure compliance and adherence of team outputs to the defined architecture specifications, requirements, and industry best practices in a timely manner
- Guiding and resolving technical issues and challenges faced by engineering teams in the implementation of the business enabling platform and associated services and solution architectures
- Working with business units, customers, technology partners, automation providers, equipment providers, senior engineering managers, product owners, scrum masters, frontline colleagues and scrum teams to support solution, design, architecture, release and sprint planning for the enabling platform
- Actively driving the career growth of engineers and team members by defining technical skills and technical training within the area of your architectural scope
- Actively attracting world class talent and providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
Requirements
- A total of 10+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years of experience in architecting and/or developing and delivering an end-to-end business functions (such as commercial, finance, procurement and/or Asset management) and Integration Platform
- Define architecture standards enabling end-to-end commercial processes, from customer acquisition and contract negotiation through service delivery, invoicing, and financial settlement
- Lead the architecture and evolution of AI-enabled business platforms, including the design and integration of Agentic AI capabilities to automate and augment commercial, financial, and operational decision-making
- Architect scalable platforms supporting multi-agent orchestration, AI-driven workflows, and integration with enterprise data and transaction systems
- Establish standards for responsible AI, governance, security, and lifecycle management of AI agents across the enterprise technology ecosystem
- Significant experience in architecting and defining standards for asset life cycle integration including for information definition, data transformation, data validation, exchange patterns
- Experience in model driven architecture developing physical and logical architectures for infrastructure with an industrial focus
- Experience defining enterprise data architecture and governance for asset master data across engineering, maintenance, and operational systems
- Experience in the application of Architecture Management Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, SABSA etc)
- Experience in the application Cyber Security Controls and Mitigations in architectural designs and Application of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SABSA, COBIT, ISA-99/ISO 62443 and or NIST
- Familiar with planning, estimating and execution of programmes of development work to time, budget and quality targets
- Familiar with agile principles and values, e.g., the Agile Manifesto
- Practical experience in software development with agile methods, e.g., Scrum or Kanban with an infrastructure as code bias
- Familiar with identifying new and emerging technologies, products, services, methods, and techniques.
