Lead the technical ownership and engineering development of furniture systems
Responsible for full CAD control, manufacturing documentation, and structural validation
Develop mechanical systems including recliners and modular sleeper mechanisms
Work directly with overseas factories in Asia and ensure products are production-ready
Rebuild and standardize full 3D CAD assemblies for modular sofa product lines
Create detailed part drawings, weldment drawings, and assembly drawings
Develop structured Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Improve manufacturability and reduce cost through engineering optimization

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or related field
5-10+ years experience in furniture systems or mechanical product development
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent parametric CAD software
Experience with steel fabrication and weldments
Experience creating full manufacturing drawing packages
Strong understanding of tolerances and fabrication processes
Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners
Experience designing sleeper or recliner mechanisms (preferred)
Familiarity with fatigue and durability testing (preferred)
Basic FEA knowledge (preferred)
Upholstery integration experience (preferred)
