About the role
- Provide overall direction and oversight of plant operations, including production, inventory management, shipping, and receiving
- Lead, coach, and develop a workforce of approximately 100 employees and supervisors to achieve safety, quality, cost, and productivity objectives
- Ensure maximum equipment availability through comprehensive preventive maintenance programs and prompt corrective actions
- Manage operating budgets, monitor expenditures, and drive profitability through effective P&L management
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve operational excellence
- Collaborate with Safety, Human Resources, and senior leadership to maintain compliance, promote employee engagement, and strengthen organizational culture
- Oversee and take part in staffing activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives
- Cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, reliability, and superior service quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in manufacturing or operations management
- Proven success in managing large hourly workforces, leading safety initiatives, and delivering strong P&L performance
- Advanced knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business applications
