About the role
- Growing the relationship with one of the most innovative OEMs in Northern California supporting the acceleration of the world’s transition into sustainable transportation
- Playing an active role in securing profitable growth by introducing new innovations, materials, technologies and new business models to customers
- Driving adoption of tools and initiatives to replicate applications to customers, support new product launches, gain competitive conversions, and win launch fix opportunities with 3M solutions in close collaboration with the global team
- Ensuring that opportunities are successfully translated from design-in decisions to sourcing decisions and product sales at locations globally and throughout the supply ecosystem
- Providing input to the strategic account manager for the future account strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Seven (7) years or more of combined sales and/or automotive experience in a private, public, government or military environment
- Current, valid Driver’s License
- Master's degree in engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Demonstrated significant achievements in sales using advanced selling skills to consistently produce positive sales results
- Experience with platform planning and proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Sales Force / PowerBI
- Experience in fast-paced environments and startup cultures
- Proven track record solving unprecedented challenges
- Self-motivated and very comfortable working in automotive environments
- Ability to indirectly deliver sales results oriented to work within a highly matrixed internal and external organization
- Experience in long-term selling cycles to large, global, complex, multi-disciplined key accounts
- Demonstrated capability to effectively collaborate across cultures and geographies
- Experienced in mining social selling tools to identify a broad-based customer profile and industry trends.
