• As a Customer Success Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end customer journey: from onboarding new clients through to driving the ongoing success of mature accounts. Strong project management skills are at the core of this role: you'll keep onboarding on track, coordinate across teams, and ensure every milestone is delivered to a high standard. You'll be the trusted partner who ensures customers realize continuous value from the SynaptiQ platform, combining a proactive approach to account management, sharp issue detection, and a genuine commitment to platform and service improvement.
• This role is a blend of project management, relationship-building, analytical rigor, and hands-on problem-solving. You'll own customer outcomes, spot risks and opportunities before they surface, and act as the connective tissue between clients and our internal teams. A key part of this is understanding customer requirements and think critically about how best to address them within SynaptiQ, balancing customer needs with what the platform brings value.
• **What you'll be doing: **
• **Account Management **
• - Manage 5 to 15 mature customer accounts simultaneously, monitoring their KPIs and periodically evaluating the success and value they're getting from SynaptiQ.
• - Maintain and build long-term customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and aligning services with each client's business goals.
• - Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling that deepen customer engagement and value.
• - Define and report on success metrics for each account — including customer satisfaction scores, retention rates, and revenue generated from expansion.
• **Issue and Opportunity Detection **
• - Continuously monitor customer health metrics to identify critical patterns and trends.
• - Proactively address potential issues before they escalate, and surface opportunities for further engagement and improvement.

• - Manage 1 to 3 onboarding projects at a time, tailoring the process to each client's unique needs and guiding them toward becoming a mature, self-sufficient customer.

Customer Success Engineer

Engineer

• Contribute to end-to-end technical delivery of asset onboarding projects: supporting data discovery, source-system assessment, integration, validation, and go-live for portfolios spanning many sites and large volumes of data points.
• Build custom solutions where off-the-shelf configuration falls short: data collectors, transformation pipelines, mapping tools, and automation that bridge client source systems and our platform.
• Write Python and API scripts to extract, transform, and load operational data - bulk provisioning tools, tag-mapping utilities, backfill and reconciliation scripts, and integrations against REST APIs and platform endpoints.
• Integrate with field data sources - SCADA historians, OT/IoT data platforms, SFTP feeds, and third-party APIs - learning to diagnose pipeline failures and resolve data-quality issues along the way.
• Map and model assets at scale, translating raw point lists and naming conventions into the platform's data model for inverters, trackers, meters, weather stations, transformers, and storage systems.
• Support the technical relationship with clients and vendors - helping scope work, set expectations, and coordinate with client engineering teams and external integration partners.
• Document repeatable processes — onboarding checklists, integration runbooks, and how-to guides - so that delivery scales beyond any single engineer.
• Partner with internal DataOps, product, and support teams to surface platform gaps, feed real-world field learnings back into the product, and improve the onboarding playbook over time.

Professional Services Engineer

• You will perform energy yield calculations, using industry recognised software and internal tools & processes.
• You will analyse the results and produce client reports.
• You will perform technical feasibility studies.
• You will perform site inspections before, during and after construction of projects.
• Over time, you will also start interacting directly with customers.
• At first you will work on a project managed by one of your colleagues and gradually you will be taking the role of project manager yourself.

Support Engineer

• Handle first-level support tickets from clients, providing efficient solutions to technical issues and escalating more complex problems to the Senior SaaS Engineer team when necessary.
• Assist the service delivery team with the deployment of assets into the SynaptiQ platform.
• Understand clients' needs and translate these into appropriate technical solutions.
• Assist with the helpdesk and ticketing system, performing offsite analysis, and providing guidance in the installation of equipment.
