Accountant

• Provide senior-level support for accounts payable, disbursement processing, interagency transactions, travel payments, and obligations management within a federal financial management system.
• Perform complex reconciliations related to grants, obligations, disbursements, and fund balance activities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze and resolve intergovernmental billing and IPAC discrepancies, including review of supporting documentation and coordination with stakeholders.
• Support payroll tax reconciliation and reporting requirements, including research and resolution of related issues.
• Assist with development and execution of corrective action plans resulting from audits, internal reviews, or compliance assessments.
• Support A-123 internal control activities, documentation updates, and responses to financial data calls.
• Contribute to development and refinement of standard operating procedures and assist in validating system upgrades, reporting enhancements, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to accounting staff engaged in day-to-day transaction processing.
• Support month-end and fiscal year-end financial activities, including review of obligation and disbursement postings to ensure timely and accurate recording.

Senior Accountant

• Execute accounts payable and disbursement functions, including commercial payments, travel-related payments, and interagency transactions.
• Process and validate financial transactions within a federal financial management system environment.
• Record and reconcile obligations, de-obligations, and manual financial documents in accordance with federal accounting standards.
• Support intergovernmental billing and collection activities, including research and resolution of discrepancies.
• Perform reconciliations related to grants, obligations, and payment activities to ensure accuracy and prevent out-of-balance conditions.
• Assist with payroll tax-related reconciliations and reporting requirements, as applicable.
• Participate in internal control reviews and support audit responses, including documentation retrieval and analysis.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of written procedures and assist in validating system enhancements or upgrades.
• Utilize Oracle-based federal financial modules and related reporting tools to perform assigned tasks.
• Provide responsive customer support to program offices, acquisition personnel, and stakeholders regarding payment and obligation inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with federal information security, privacy, and records management requirements.

Staff Accountant II

• Assist in processing invoices, travel-related payments, and other financial transactions within a federal accounting system.
• Support obligation entry and maintenance, including review of supporting documentation.
• Perform basic reconciliations to validate transaction accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist in responding to stakeholder inquiries related to payment status and financial records.
• Support audit and internal control activities by gathering and organizing required documentation.
• Maintain records in accordance with federal records management requirements.
• Participate in required information security and privacy training.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools and federal financial systems to complete assigned duties.

• Capturing Requirements: Assist the team including client subject matter experts by liaising amongst these groups on as needed basis to document and clarify business and technical requirements.
• Business Process Harmonization: Promote and manage business process harmonization between legacy and to-be processes.
• Analysis of Alternatives (AoA): Provide support for an AoA where needed and make recommendations for reaching consensus or decision on alternative selection.
• Fit-Gap Analysis: Keep activities aligned with the Fit-Gap Analysis developed for the modernized systems.
• Business Process Roles: Map roles from legacy to new environment and develop transition plan.
• Reporting Needs: Assist clients in meeting their reporting needs via the modernized system’s reporting capabilities and modules.
