About the role
- HR advisory and support
- Advising and supporting managers and employees on all legal and personnel-related matters at national and international levels
- Carrying out generalist HR work in compliance with local legal and operational regulations and policies
- Close cooperation with the works council and advising management on co-determination matters in accordance with legal requirements, in particular the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG)
- Managing the full employee lifecycle including all upstream and downstream processes both nationally and internationally
- Responsibility for payroll for the German office and ensuring a smooth payroll process
- Interaction and correspondence with external HR service providers, social security authorities and government agencies
- Central point of contact for HR audits and ensuring required documentation and compliance
- Administration and maintenance of the HR software Personio and ensuring accurate and up-to-date HR data
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree, e.g., in Business Administration, Human Resources, Economics, Psychology or a comparable qualification
- At least 4 years of professional experience in operational, strategic and generalist HR in a dynamic environment, ideally with international exposure
- Good knowledge of labor law as well as tax, social security and works council law
- Strong communication skills and a confident, professional manner when dealing with various stakeholders
- High intercultural sensitivity combined with empathy and an appreciative approach to employees and managers
- Willingness to take on challenges and the ability to drive topics forward in a solution-oriented manner and implement decisions
- Independent, structured working style with strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mentality
- Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken
- Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with HR software solutions, ideally Personio
