Scrum Master

• Lead two Agile scrum teams executing the roadmap for services that power our digital servicing applications
• Facilitate strategic and tactical conversations among a wide range of business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with digital product owners, technical leads, clients, and other stakeholders in delivering a seamless customer experience in the authentication space
• Onboard client-specific implementations
• Enhance lookup capabilities for internal stakeholders
• Manage Sprints - keeping order, process, delivery, and priorities accurate and on time
• Advocate for autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams
• Participate as part of the Synchrony Innovation Station in contributing and leading innovation activities and practices with the full cross-functional product team

AVP, Digital Scrum Master

• Supports and facilitates generally one to two Scrum Teams in various functions by fostering Agile values and practices.
• Ensures team adherence to Agile principles.
• Provides coaching to the Scrum Team(s) on how to execute the Scrum framework.
• Organizes and facilitates ceremonies, identifies improvement opportunities to optimize velocity and quality while mitigating risk.
• Tracks and communicates the overall team progress providing visibility to stakeholders.
• Serves as a filter to remove impediments to progress as identified by the team.
• Protects the team from outside influences to ensure the team remains focused on Scrum Team priorities.
• Partners with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog items are prioritized based on business value and ready for the team.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
• Guide agile teams and facilitate collaboration using agile methodologies, servant leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Showcase expertise by fostering effective team dynamics, building agile maturity, and helping the team deliver their best work.
• Working with teams, providing guidance on the application of agile values, principles, and practices to deliver high-quality products and services to customers.
• Ensuring adherence to the scrum framework and Scaled agile methods.
• Elevating the team to a high-performing level by identifying areas of strength and improvement.
• Facilitating team-level scrum events, ensuring active and valuable team engagement.
• Coaching, inspiring, training, and mentoring teams to promote positive team dynamics.
• Work closely with Product Owners to help manage product backlogs and ensure clear communication of development goals.
• Remove impediments and blockers that may hinder the team’s progress.

Scrum Master – Part Time

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives) effectively and efficiently for 3+ agile teams.
• Coach teams, product owners, and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.
• Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, escalating issues when necessary and proactively seeking solutions.
• Monitor and report on team progress, sprint burndown, and other key agile metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog.
• Facilitate release planning and coordination across multiple teams and dependencies.
• Mentor and support junior Scrum Masters within the organization.
• Help resolve conflicts and disagreements within the team in a constructive manner.
• Champion best practices for software development, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.

Senior Scrum Master

• Align strategy to execution by translating enterprise priorities into actionable portfolio and team ways of working
• Enable end-to-end delivery by standardizing ways of working, PDLC practices, and execution consistency across teams and value streams
• Advance AI Operating Model adoption by coaching leaders and teams on AI-enabled roles, practices, and delivery models; drive responsible AI usage patterns (guardrails, quality, and reuse)
• Strengthen governance and metrics by delivering portfolio insights, dashboards, and data-driven decision support for leaders; use AI-assisted analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Scale coaching impact with AI and enterprise tooling by leveraging AI copilots/accelerators for facilitation prep, content creation, workflow automation, and insight synthesis; establish reusable prompt patterns and coaching assets
• Build enterprise capability by providing training, onboarding, and continuous skill refresh across roles (leaders, product, engineering, and delivery)
• Enable AI literacy and adoption through training, clinics, and office hours (prompting basics, role-based use cases, and safe ways to apply AI within delivery workflows)
• Launch new and guide existing teams through transformation by coaching leaders and teams on Agile principles, flow, and outcome-based planning
• Enable program and ART execution by facilitating key events (e.g., PI planning, backlog refinement, feature/story workshops, Scrum of Scrums, retrospectives)
• Identify, escalate, and help remove systemic impediments and dependencies that limit flow, predictability, and value delivery
