QA Automation Engineer

• Reporting to the VP, Tech & Ops Systems Governance Leader, the AVP, Tech & Ops Control Automation Engineer plays a leading role in the automation of industry standard-based control activities that support Synchrony’s operations in the public cloud.
• Identify opportunities for control automation, collaborate with stakeholders on design improvements, and lead the technical build and implementation of these enhanced controls.
• Drive innovation through Tech and Ops with a focus on using automation to eliminate manual control work, collaborative problem solving, and proactive process enhancement.
• In collaboration with Synchrony cloud control framework owners, analyze existing control catalog to identify and prioritize candidates for optimization/automation.
• Engage with activity owners throughout Synchrony to define and document business and technical requirements for control enhancements/automation.
• Execute build and implementation of enhanced/automated controls, utilizing traditional software development lifecycle practices.
• Interact and collaborate with stakeholders and control owners throughout the organization to implement necessary changes and modifications to mitigate operational, regulatory, and financial risks.
• Identify control gaps and potential issues, discuss viable solutions with stakeholders to ensure controls are operating effectively.
• Leverage critical thinking skills to look beyond existing methodologies and current discipline to define and resolve complex problems.

AVP, Tech & Ops Control Automation Engineer

• Design, build, implement, and maintain scalable AI-powered automations, integrations, and workflow solutions that support operational efficiency across the organization.
• Develop and support automation solutions using technologies such as Python, SQL, APIs, orchestration tools, and AI platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend AI and automation tools, platforms, and integrations based on scalability, maintainability, business value, security, and operational impact.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and develop scalable automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for AI and automation initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and operational goals.

AI Automation Engineer – Enablement Lead

• Investigate and document customer data sources and build agentic AI-powered workflows.
• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data across Adobe Experience League's MarTech platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows that reduce manual data handling and improve data quality across the marketing tech stack.
• Partner with marketing, content, and analytics partners to translate business requirements into robust data engineering solutions.

Senior Data Automation Engineer

• Tests, creates, implements and supports robotics process and desktop automations
• Performs design, scripting, testing, implementing, maintaining and modifying automations of moderate complexity, significance, and risk
• Creates comprehensive test plans and test cases; defines automation data needs across systems and creates a plan to coordinate this test data
• Creates and executes performance tests to ensure the expected automation performance levels are achieved
• Performs, and at times, leads clients and technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems
• Writes documentation that describes automation capabilities and operating procedures
• Estimates and defines time tables and project tasks; analyzes and estimates cost and time
• Conducts analysis of organizational needs for the creation and implementation of automation solutions; participates in feasibility assessments of new automation opportunities

Automation Engineer

• Create procurement automations for PO generation, vendor onboarding, and spend categorization
• Implement AI-powered financial close acceleration and journal entry automation
• Ensure all finance automations meet SOX, internal controls, and audit documentation requirements
• Partner with Internal Audit and Controllership on design reviews and control attestation
• Build comprehensive logging, lineage, and traceability into every automation
• Implement segregation-of-duties and approval workflows correctly in every design
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence of all deployed workflows
• Track manual hours eliminated, cost savings realized, and processing time reductions
• Quantify error rate reduction and the controls impact of automation
• Partner with FP&A on ROI reporting and business case development
• Identify financial process inefficiencies through data analysis and stakeholder interviews
• Deliver weekly updates on automation performance, savings, and roadmap

AI Automation Engineer, Finance & Accounting

• Design, develop, and deploy unattended Power Automate (RPA) workflows to automate business processes
• Collaborate with business and technology partners to identify automation opportunities and define requirements
• Build scalable, secure, and maintainable automation solutions aligned with enterprise standards
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing automations for performance and reliability
• Ensure solutions meet compliance, security, and audit requirements in a regulated environment
• Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions clearly for ongoing support and governance
• Participate in testing, deployment, and post-production support activities
• Cross train to help support Automation Anywhere automation solutions
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to automation practices and tools
• Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to enterprise standards prior to production

Automation Engineer – Power Automate Unattended

• Design, implement, and maintain RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) pipelines using enterprise data sources.
• Build and orchestrate agentic AI workflows for IT operations use cases.
• Integrate LLMs into secure, production-grade automation solutions using industry‑standard frameworks.
• Develop internal tools and services that augment IT teams.
• Automate employee onboarding and offboarding workflows.
• Create self‑service capabilities that allow employees to request access, resolve common issues.
• Mentor system administrators and engineers in AI‑assisted operations and automation design.

Senior IT AI Automation Engineer

• Collaborate on the design and implementation of quality engineering practices for financial technology solutions
• Maintain test frameworks to ensure efficient testing across the enterprise
