Pricing Analyst

• Lead end-to-end pricing efforts for federal and state government solicitations, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs), by working closely with business development, program delivery, and other key stakeholders.
• Build and refine accurate pricing models that address specific solicitation requirements while answering critical questions that company leadership raises during the bid process. This includes performing cost-volume analysis, ensuring competitive proposals, and confirming price proposals are fully compliant.
• Ensure all pricing proposals adhere to applicable FAR, DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other government regulations, often in partnership with the Contracts and Finance teams.
• Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, travel, and other direct/indirect costs on pricing proposals, which includes assisting with development and documentation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) that substantiate cost estimates, often under tight timelines.
• Communicate internally with company business partners and externally with team partners, subcontractors, and prime contractors
• Provide strategic support, thought partnership, and financial modeling to support evaluation of specific, company-level issues and financial questions.
• Use data, financial systems, and business insight to evaluate trends in company financial performance and how changes would affect business and pricing decisions.
• Develop a range of pricing strategies in collaboration with Capture, Contracts, and Finance teams to enhance competitiveness while ensuring profitability.
• Identify financial risks associated with proposal submissions and recommend mitigation strategies.

Senior Pricing Analyst

• Collaborate with lawyers, practice groups, marketing professionals, and financial management to provide pricing support for new client engagements and RFP submissions.
• Develop and implement financial models to assess the profitability of new business proposals.
• Assist in the development of creative pricing solutions, including alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).
• Assist in the evaluation and setting of standard and national billing rates using regional and practice-specific benchmarking tools, as well as internal analytics related to realization and profitability.

• Support the development of creative pricing arrangements, financial models, and budgets to align with Firm revenue and profitability initiatives and strategic goals.
• Generate financial analyses that support pricing strategies, policies, and the optimization of pricing management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights relative to strategic pricing development.
• Monitor and evaluate pricing performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Support the development and maintenance of team processes, checklists, pricing repository and other resources to enhance the pricing function.
• Assist in responding to requests from attorneys for matter planning, budgeting, pricing estimates and tracking.
• Assist in responding to requests for proposals specific to pricing strategies; prepare pricing estimates.
• Conduct market and competitive pricing analysis to identify trends and opportunities in conjunction with the annual timekeeper rate setting process.
• Work with and coach attorneys to understand and identify client priorities, negotiation strategies, scope and assumptions, and evaluate relevant factors and risks that may impact pricing and matter management.
• Develop effective relationships with attorneys and business professionals across the firm.
• Leverage advanced analytics and AI-powered tools to improve pricing strategies, automate repetitive processes, and enhance forecasting accuracy.
• Evaluate and implement technology solutions that support pricing and matter management, including AI-driven tools for predictive pricing, cost estimation, and profitability analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure seamless integration of pricing tools and technologies with existing systems, such as Elite 3E, Iridium, and data warehouses.
• Research and assess the impact of AI and automation on pricing models, client behavior, and market trends to ensure the firm remains competitive.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the use of technology in pricing, providing training and guidance to attorneys and business professionals on tools and platforms that enhance efficiency and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to use AI to analyze historical data, client preferences, and case outcomes to inform pricing recommendations and improve client satisfaction.
• Support the development of non-hourly and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) using advanced modeling techniques and technology to optimize profitability while meeting client expectations.
• Incorporate data visualization and AI-driven insights into pricing presentations and proposals to enhance understanding and engagement with stakeholders.

• Lead and develop Actuarial Analysts and Consultants, providing coaching, training, and direction
• Oversee actuarial analyses, support business decision-making
• Ensure projects are completed on time and with high quality
• Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external clients
• Review work of Consultants and Analysts and oversees the successful completion of projects
• Manage and train Actuarial Consultants and/or Analysts within the department
• Manage Teams time and workload and recommends tradeoffs to leadership

Commercial Pricing Manager

• Use data-driven market insights and cross-functional collaboration to improve Preferred partner performance and revenue.
• Partner with sales leaders and business intelligence teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, top-performing partners, and opportunities to expand or grow the business.
• Monitor and report on program performance, build and interpret analyses and dashboards, and use data to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and recommend actions that improve outcomes.
• Manage the iteration and implementation of the frameworks for how we evaluate Premier Agent partner performance, ensuring they are data-driven, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
• Scope problems, define success metrics, build structured project plans, align stakeholders, manage timelines and risks, and drive work from concept through execution and post-mortem.
• Execute revenue optimization and allocation processes in an organized, consistent, and thoughtful manner to drive business results at scale.
• Synthesize complex analyses and business context into clear narratives and recommendations for Sales, Partner Success, Analytics, and leadership; ensure everyone is working in sync toward shared goals.
• Identify process inefficiencies and experience gaps, then propose, socialize, and implement improvements with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Operations to test ideas, influence roadmaps, and support experimentation that improves partner and consumer outcomes.
