Network Engineer

• Deploy, configure, and commission LTE eNodeBs to work with 3 party EPC components (MME, SGW, PGW), and 5G NR/Core elements in lab and live customer environments
• Perform end-to-end system integration and interface testing across S1, X2, N1, N2, and N3 reference points
• Analyze protocol traces (S1AP, NGAP, X2AP, E2AP, GTP-U, DIAMETER, SCTP) to diagnose signaling failures, handover issues, and connectivity anomalies
• Monitor and troubleshoot RAN and core KPIs for accessibility, retainability, mobility, availability and performance and own root-cause analysis when they degrade
• Operate and maintain network performance management systems, identifying trends and anomalies across multi-vendor environments before they become customer-impacting events
• Support customer-facing lab trials and network acceptance testing, including direct engagement with operator engineering teams
• Develop scripts and tooling in Python and Bash to automate data collection, processing, and reporting workflows
• Write and maintain technically rigorous documentation: network topology diagrams, test plans, commissioning procedures, and incident post-mortems
• Contribute to the integration of next-generation monitoring capabilities, including AI/ML-driven anomaly detection and intelligent alerting, into operational platforms
• Stay current on 3GPP specifications, GSMA guidelines, and evolving 5G standards; you'll be expected to read specs, not just summaries of them

5G/LTE Network Engineer I

• Provide end-to-end support for customers with a focus on SDWAN (preferably Versa Networks), Internet, and related services.
• Troubleshoot and configure basic LAN setups (Routers, Firewalls) and Microsoft operating systems.
• Support the provisioning and onboarding of new customers for managed services.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve support issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Own support issues from start to resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction with clear communication and expert problem-solving.

• Lead SD-WAN design and architecture for enterprise clients, creating scalable and resilient network solutions
• Design, implement, and manage SASE solutions using Cato Networks, Fortinet, Versa Networks, and Cisco Meraki platforms
• Deploy and manage Cato SASE Cloud Platform for secure global networking and Zero Trust Network Access
• Configure and optimize Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE solutions including FortiGate firewalls and FortiSASE
• Implement Versa SASE Platform combining SD-WAN, security, and cloud access capabilities
• Deploy and manage Cisco Meraki cloud-managed SASE solutions including MX security appliances with integrated SD-WAN
• Design secure remote access solutions using SASE architecture for distributed workforces
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to managed services engineers, sharing best practices and expertise
• Integrate UCaaS solutions including MetaSwitch platforms with enterprise networks
• Implement Zero Trust security models across SASE deployments
• Develop and maintain network automation scripts and procedures

• Create detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials
• Collaborate with Command|POD teams to ensure 100% uptime SLA compliance
• Perform network assessments and develop cloud-first transformation strategies
• Lead network transformation projects from legacy architectures to SASE/SD-WAN solutions
• Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

Senior Network Engineer

• Own SD-WAN architecture and design for enterprise clients, building scalable, resilient network solutions centered on Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN and Next-Generation Firewalls
• Architect, deploy, and troubleshoot complex routing and security configurations including BGP, OSPF, VRRP, QoS, and IPS/IDS policies
• Lead customer onboarding into Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN environments, managing integration and migration from start to finish
• Support and troubleshoot multi-vendor environments across WAN, LAN, firewalls, VPNs, LTE circuits, VoIP, and Metaswitch UCaaS/voice services
• Design and refine LTE failover strategies, redundancy configurations, and hybrid WAN setups
• Serve as a direct point of escalation with Palo Alto Networks and other vendors on complex technical issues
• Proactively monitor customer environments, review logs, and identify and address threats or performance degradation before they become incidents
• Share expertise with peers on Palo Alto best practices, including SD-WAN policy design and security posture alignment
• Maintain thorough documentation of network architectures, security policies, and operational playbooks
• Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

Senior Network Engineer, Managed Services

• Configure and install wireless access points and gateways following university configuration templates and procedure.
• Utilize tools such as Aruba Central, Airwave, NetAlly, and Wifi Analyzer in daily wireless network maintenance.
• Monitor, measure and troubleshoot network performance using tools such as spectrum analyzers and network traffic analyzers.
• Provide network design options to support daily asset management of all USNH ethernet switches, Ethernet ports and wireless access points within the enterprise.
• Supervise contractors and student workers on network related projects.

• Configure and install wireless access points and gateways following university configuration templates and procedure during equipment refresh cycles or as new project requirements.
• Utilize tools such as Aruba Central, Airwave, NetAlly, and Wifi Analyzer in daily wireless network maintenance.
• Monitor, measure and troubleshoot network performance using tools such as spectrum analyzers and network traffic analyzers, proactively mitigating network problems as they arise.
• Provide network design options to support daily asset management of all USNH 800+ ethernet switches, 20,000+ Ethernet ports and 7000 wireless access points within the enterprise.
• Install and maintain tools and systems to integrate with existing network infrastructure.
• Perform complex maintenance modifications and updates to existing systems.
• Maintain skill currency through self-study and attend formal training when applicable.
• Conduct analysis of customer requirements for additional network services, such as wireless access points, IOT devices and other network requirements.
• Conduct service visits to customer sites and consult with users to provide cost effective solutions to meet client needs.
• Provide on-going support and training to address client needs.
• Advise the university community on the purchase of network technology that is compatible with the university’s current and future network infrastructure.
• Research, design, implement, manage and maintain all wireless local area network infrastructure.
• Investigate new emerging network transport technologies and identify appropriate vendor software solutions to meet evolving institutional needs.
• Ensure all switching and wireless hardware are configured according to security policies and procedures.
• Supervise contractors and student workers on network related projects.
• Develop project plans to include detailed list of materials and identify resources required to assist with estimating project cost when required.
• Configure and install edge switches following university configuration templates and procedure during equipment refresh cycles or as new project requirements.
• Monitor and maintain all campus network rooms across the enterprise to ensure high availability of power, cooling and connectivity for all network gear.
• Provide system maintenance and support for platforms such as SolarWinds, Aruba Central, Enterasys NetSight, Aruba Airwave, and Aruba Clearpass.
• Manage network protocol structure and configure network equipment for effective use on multiple network protocols.
• Install and repair jacks when required, following university layer 1 procedures.
• Label and document all network assets in departments asset management software.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery documentation currency for all wired and wireless switching systems.
• Provide documentation and reporting, archiving and retrieval of data.
• Maintain proficiency with project management tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Project and Team Dynamix; application of process improvement and technology management practices such as ITIL.
• Utilize automation with tools such as Netbox to maintain current and accurate inventory.
