Network Engineer

• Develop network technology solutions, taking into account business and technical requirements, sizing, existing infrastructure, data protection, security requirements and governance and recovery objectives to ensure solutions resolve clients’ requirements and challenges
• Design and/or implement standard or custom technical solutions
• Participate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
• Participate in implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)
• Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
• Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments, and determine hardware or software requirements

Intermediate Network Consultant

• Collaborating with peers to assure smooth operation of the network infrastructure
• Coordinating with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software.
• Assess and address vulnerabilities regarding network equipment with vendor recommended solutions
• Provide high quality internal and external customer service surrounding the company values.
• Implement and support of LAN, WAN, Switching/Routing, load balancing data center infrastructure including Cisco ACI, Netscaler load balancer.
• Ensures all network infrastructure engineering patterns are appropriately designed to meet our SLA requirements.
• Responsible for writing and reviewing change request as a part of the change management process.
• Monitor system performance and implement performance optimization.
• Participation in the documentation processes including network diagrams, staff contacts, vendor contacts, utilization of monitoring/resource/inventory management tools.
• Collaborates with managers to develop standards in line with the company guidelines and monitoring those standards.
• Assisting with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participating in problem management activities.
• As a member of the network & security operations team participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure.
• Overtime in the event of emergencies is required.

Senior Network Analyst

• Understand and follow “The VC3 Way”. This is our set of standards and processes that produce a predictable result for the customer. Must be aware of and maintain our standards.
• Receive & respond to complex service requests, incidents and change requests in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with:
• - General network connectivity
• - Common networking technologies
• - Networking technologies, layer 2/3 switching, POE, VLANs.
• - Wireless network performance and accessibility
• - Firewalls, switches, and routers
• - Remote access technologies
• Complete technical administrative tasks such as:
• - Perform firmware updates to networking technologies.
• - Add/remove/change network ACL /privileges as required
• - Configuration of firewalls, switches, and access points.
• - Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets for them.
• Make recommendations for improvements of supported hardware and software to Service Managers/Strategic Advisors or clients when necessary.
• Engage vendors, 3rd parties, and client subject matter experts (SME) as needed during the troubleshooting process and maintain contact until completed.
• Maintain accurate and real-time timesheets, record complete and accurate notes of troubleshooting and communication with clients.
• Receive mentoring and feedback from peers and others.
• Review Tickets with Service Manager.
• Actively Participate in Team Huddles, L10 Meetings, One-on-One Meetings, and any other Team Meetings.
• Create and update documentation when changes occur, or when discoveries are made.
• Attend monthly training & team meets as required.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Participate in continual education by completing field-related technical certifications to ensure expertise remains current and aligned with industry best practices.

Network Analyst

• Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of cloud network engineers and operations specialists
• Define and execute the global cloud networking strategy across AWS and Azure
• Architect and guide implementation of cloud network designs, including VPC/VNet architecture, hybrid connectivity, segmentation, and secure connectivity patterns
• Be accountable for production operations of cloud networking services
• Lead major incident response for network-related issues, including root cause analysis (RCA)
• Establish and evolve the operational support model (L1/L2/L3)
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption

Director, Cloud Network Engineering – Operations

• Work with network architects to design, build and operate Kepler’s mission-critical networks
• Contribute to the team to design, build. and operate the corporate network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, security appliances, and hybrid cloud connectivity
• Manage network security and segmentation, ensuring infrastructure adheres to security best practices and company policies
• Design and maintain hybrid cloud networking architectures, integrating on-prem environments with AWS services
• Develop and maintain network automation tools, leveraging Python, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code approaches to improve reliability and operational efficiency
• Collaborate closely with software, FPGA, and mission operations teams to support network infrastructure for satellite operations and ground systems
• Provide operational support for corporate and service provider network infrastructure, including participation in on-call rotations
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability tools to proactively detect and resolve network issues
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks
• Participate in change management processes, including planning, implementation, and post-change validation
• Support incident response and root cause analysis for network-related outages or performance issues

Network Architect

• Participate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems
• Design, implement, and manage automated workflows for configuration and deployment in hybrid cloud and on-premise environments
• Design and manage OT network environments with a focus on resiliency, segmentation, and secure integration with IT networks
• Develop reusable, modular code libraries to streamline workflows and support diverse use cases across network devices and cloud platforms
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments
• Collaborate with clients and develop depth in understanding their business and how Long View network services supports their need
• Act as the go-to technical resource, assisting our clients with system monitoring, ticket resolution and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and availability
