Electrical Engineer

• Responsible to oversee and direct the electrical engineering of projects in accordance with engineering best practices, company standards and in compliance with the National Electrical Code.
• Assist the Project Manager in establishing and preparing project budgets, project execution plans, construction cost estimates and project schedules.
• Execute the electrical engineering aspects of a project within the budget, schedule and quality as agreed with the Project Manager.
• Prepare engineering documents in the form of study reports, drawings and specifications that may be stamped and signed, as required.
• Prepare Addendums, Proposal Requests (PR) and Supplemental Instructions (SI) for projects.
• Provide mentoring and technical direction to Electrical Engineers, Designers and BIM/CAD Technicians.
• Attend meetings with clients and prepare meeting notes as appropriate.
• Coordinate communications in relation to electrical engineering with project team members, clients and the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Coordinate design solutions with other technical disciplines within the integrated project team.
• Assist in quality assurance reviews for all project disciplines.
• Attend site visits for the purposes of investigation, survey and record of existing conditions.
• Develop, maintain and approve electrical engineering design standards, tools, process and procedures.
• Provide the focal point and technical leadership for all electrical engineers and designers within the organization.
• Provide mentoring and career development support to electrical engineers and designers within the organization.
• Uphold and promote the Company brand by guaranteeing excellence in the execution of work and ensuring a positive client experience.
• Any other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.

Electrical Engineer, PE III

• Design and validate precision analog and power circuitry for high‑voltage electricity metering applications (up to 240 V).
• Develop AC‑to‑DC power supplies, surge protection circuitry, measurement systems, and communications interfaces.
• Build and debug prototypes; perform detailed characterization using lab and environmental test equipment.
• Optimize designs for low noise, low RF emissions, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and support regulatory compliance, manufacturing test, and calibration strategies.
• Partner with firmware, systems, mechanical, compliance, and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and help mentor junior engineers, fostering strong engineering practices and an inclusive team environment.

• Define and architect innovative rack-level power distribution topologies (AC, DC, HVDC)
• Investigate new technologies in solid-state protection, intelligent power switching, and metering, and AI-enabled load balancing
• Evaluate and integrate breakthrough approaches such as power sidecar systems, in-rack busbars, and modular busway systems
• Translate innovative ideas into manufacturable, standards-compliant solutions
• Guide engineering teams in rapid prototyping and proof-of-concepts to validate new concepts
• Anticipate industry shifts (AI-scale, 1MW+ racks, OCP-HPR standards) and propose next-gen architectures
• Partner with market-leading technology vendors (compute, rack, power components) where appropriate to accelerate development and ensure interoperability
• Represent nVent as a leader with a point of view in customer innovation forums and industry standards bodies

Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

• Apply general electrical engineering design practices while working with a Lead Engineer for guidance and detailed supervision.
• Perform non-routine and complex assignments involving assigned task with assistance from Senior Engineers as required.
• Select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and coordinate the work with project team members for a successful design.
• Review, analyze, and integrate the technical requirements and design approaches for the project.

Electrical Engineer I

• Lead and contribute to the design of electrical systems, including interior/exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecom, and security infrastructure
• Perform and document design calculations to ensure compliance with applicable codes and client specifications
• Conduct quality control reviews of design documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules and deliver complete, coordinated design packages
• Review and respond to contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, ensuring design intent is maintained
• Participate in client meetings and design reviews, providing technical input and supporting project delivery
• Support the development and refinement of internal design standards and best practices
• Assist in mentoring junior engineers and designers, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing
• Other duties as assigned

• Provide technical engineering information and assistance to ensure compliance with project requirements and all engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications

• Bring proficiency in the use of REVIT
• Oversee a team of engineers, designers, and staff on a project basis or individual initiative
• May be the Engineer of Record for projects as assigned
• Supervise, review, comment, and process equipment and system submittals
• Supervise process coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and all electrical trades
• Oversee the preparation of designs, including power, lighting, and auxiliary systems
• Oversee preparation of power system single-line diagrams, including feeder, over-current protection sizing, and equipment elevations
• Supervise or conduct short circuit and over-current protection device coordination studies and Arc Flash Studies
• Conduct distribution analysis, including voltage drop, voltage droop, and underground heat effect (Neher-McGrath) calculations
• Oversee the project specifications or equipment buy-out
• Visit job sites to field survey existing electrical conditions
• Utilize engineering analysis programs and professional judgment to analyze loads, lighting levels, and short circuit currents
• Conduct value engineering exercises to evaluate the cost of construction
• Attend project design team meetings and interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer
• Work closely with the Rosendin Project Manager to coordinate the design criteria with budgetary issues and deliverables schedule on the projects they are assigned
• Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors during project installation
• Generate project specifications appropriate for the project
• Develop a complete and accurate sequence of operations for all designed systems
• Perform work involving the application of conventional aspects of electrical engineering related to the design of high-tech, mission-critical health industry, commercial, industrial, high-rise residential, and other facilities
• Review plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates
• Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with the city, state, county officials, and other outside agencies
• Oversee plans and specifications, establish schedules, and coordinate electrical engineering work
• Prepare documentation for the commissioning of a building
• Resolve various complex problems (i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements, technical issue resolution)

Data Center Electrical Engineer III

• Design for electrical power distribution systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, and more
• Demonstrate understanding of industry codes and standards
• Serve as a technical lead electrical engineer and mentor to electrical designers

• Develop new products – medium-voltage instrument transformers and sensors – including product concept, numerical analysis and simulations, design documentation, as well as testing and characterization of the design in the labs with the help of the technical support staff.
