Counselor

• Provide subject matter expertise about genetic testing for clients
• Review incoming prenatal and postnatal specimens for the cytogenetics laboratory to ensure that appropriate testing has been ordered and that essential information about the patient has been provided
• Coordinate prenatal molecular and/or non-molecular testing for clients including specimen management, send-out and reporting of results
• Communicate abnormal test results to health care professionals and provide recommendations for appropriate follow-up
• Provide active guidance to clients, lab support staff and sales team through ongoing informal education, case conference presentations, and client in-services
• Collaborate on publications and other projects as opportunities arise

Genetic Counselor – Lab Based

• Perform active rescues when texter safety has been identified as imminent risk.
• Monitor volunteer Crisis Counselor conversations for training adherence and quality support.
• Work with volunteer Crisis Counselors in providing coping skills and exercise safety protocols in high-risk situations.
• Assist volunteer Crisis Counselors to identify texter needs and develop a support and plan for safety.
• Ensure volunteer Crisis Counselors adherence to code of conduct and escalate if required.
• Provide real-time feedback on conversation quality.
• Participate in trainings and internal working groups to increase quality service delivery.

Crisis Counselor Supervisor

• Conduct intake assessments and evaluate Member readiness for care
• Facilitate virtual individual and group counseling sessions using Affect’s evidence-based curriculum
• Provide crisis support and coordinate referrals when needed
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors on treatment planning and discharge
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations

Addiction Counselor – Telehealth

• The Credit Counselor manages delinquent accounts by contacting members, analyzing financial situations, and recommending solutions to resolve defaults.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the applicable core system, including loan, deposit, and collections platforms.
• Informs management of trends in underwriting contributing to delinquent/charge off loans.
• Contacts delinquent account holders to cure defaults; utilizes various skip tracing tools, and maintains accurate files, and ensures accurate and timely documentation of all collection efforts.
• Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers to include credit bureau reports and provides sound recommendation for solutions to successfully resolve delinquencies.
• Processes insurance, disability, credit life, and whole loss claims. Process all member extension requests.
• Promotes a needs based member education culture within the department to identify opportunities to promote credit union products and services to live DNCU’s mission of improving lives while meeting and/or exceeding established member education goals.
• Work effectively in a team environment contributing to the success of the department and organization. Comply with all regulations, policies, security procedures, and complete all mandatory annual compliance courses.
