Community Manager

• Lead all activities related to public and community engagement across the program.
• Develop, maintain, and execute the Community & Public Outreach Plan, including goals, messaging, and annual engagement strategy.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of engagement KPIs, performance dashboards, and continuous improvement metrics.
• Maintain community directories, outreach calendars, and engagement tracking systems.
• Coordinate outreach activities across multiple internal teams, ensuring alignment with digital, content, and strategic communications functions.

Community and Public Engagement Lead

• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure effective cross-team coordination.
• Manage regular reports and updates for funders, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Maintain organized project documentation and communication channels to support efficient project delivery.
• Assist with grant tracking and documentation using tools such as Notion and Airtable.
• Partner with the Development team to monitor contracts and identify potential grant and consulting opportunities.
• Support the submission of proposals to communities and funders to secure mission-aligned projects.
• Maintain cumulative reports and track key implementation dates and project milestones.
• Communicate with grantees post-implementation to collect annual reports and verify HubSpot setup.
• Track relevant news and community announcements to support outreach and planning efforts.

Community Program Coordinator

• Manage and oversee a $5 million grant through the USFS Urban and Community Forestry program.
• Provide technical assistance, support and urban forestry expertise to passthrough grant recipients related to reporting, compliance, grant administration, and implementation.
• Promote and support the implementation of the SFI Urban and Community Forest Sustainability Standard in collaboration with municipalities, universities and corporations while building relationships across additional sectors.
• Develop and strengthen collaborative partnerships that contribute to sustainable urban and community forest management.
• Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the growth and long-term sustainability of SFI’s urban and community forestry initiatives.
• Serve as SFI’s subject matter expert on urban and community forestry with interested parties, partners, and at industry events and conferences.
• Lead the strategic growth and implementation of SFI’s urban and community forestry program in the U.S., including standards revision and maintenance, outreach and engagement, network development, and initiatives that elevate SFI’s leadership in urban forestry.
• Coordinate with communications staff to recognize SFI certified organizations, elevate success stories, and facilitate adoption of SFI Standards.

Director, Urban and Community Forestry

• Supporting RI’s documentation and research related to federal immigration actions, and their impacts on immigrant communities and the organizations that serve and support them
• In collaboration with community partners, completing a resource and community mapping of organizations, advocates, service providers, grassroots groups, impacted communities, and other stakeholders connected to immigration response work
• Providing administrative support for active work streams, including tracking tasks, organizing materials, maintaining shared documents, supporting follow-up, and helping coordinate ongoing project needs
• Supporting outreach and engagement efforts designed to expand participation by volunteers, community partners, advocates, and people with relevant lived or professional experience
• Assisting with event and meeting organization, including scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, coordinating logistics, taking detailed notes, and summarizing key discussions and action items
• Conducting a literature review on ethical storytelling, oral history methods, trauma-informed documentation, and data stewardship
• Helping identify best practices for creating safe and community-centered spaces to preserve stories, data, written accounts, and other materials related to immigration policy and protection challenges
• Drafting short memos, summaries, background materials, outreach language, and other written products as needed
• Supporting other tasks as assigned.
