About the role
- Lead the design and development of high-end luxury properties in Los Angeles and abroad
- Manage every phase of the architectural process from concept through completion
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the development of residences, seeing designs brought to life while maintaining standards of craftsmanship and design innovation
- Lead the design process from conceptualization through execution and develop innovative design solutions aligned with ZURU’s vision
- Oversee production of detailed construction documents and ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations
- Work closely with ZURU leadership, consultants, contractors, and internal team members to ensure design integrity, timelines, and budgets are maintained
- Manage site analysis, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases
- Ensure project quality assurance during construction and address design-related issues
- Develop and manage project budgets and timelines to ensure projects stay within financial parameters and meet key deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in high-end residential or luxury property design
- Experience working on bespoke, high-end residential or commercial projects for discerning clients
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional design solutions for luxury properties
- Proficiency in high-end materials and finishes
- Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, etc.) and construction documentation
- Oversee the production of detailed construction documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and lead project teams
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring design accuracy and quality control
- Ability to solve complex design and technical issues while maintaining a high standard of excellence
- Licensed in California required
- Licensed in Hawaii is a plus
