Conduct comprehensive reviews of standards and regulations research produced by the research team, checking interpretations and finding supporting or counter product examples
Work with the research team to clarify ambiguous or difficult areas of code
Maintain and implement quality assurance protocols to ensure research accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product design, engineering, manufacturing) to address issues and implement corrective actions
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes
Provide training and guidance to research experts on codes and standards to improve team skill level
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Product Testing, Building Product Certifications or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience standards research or testing, or a related role
Strong knowledge of building industry standards and regulations (IBC, IRC, NZ/AS ISO, ASTM, UL, etc.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Good verbal and written English communication skills
(Nice to have) Experience in construction industry products, testing, certification and compliance
(Nice to have) Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for international markets
