About the role
- Provides advanced technical support and application guidance for Zurn Elkay’s commercial plumbing products
- Produces presentations and product comparisons for sales assistance
- Presents live, virtual, or pre-recorded product knowledge training to internal employees, customers, sales reps, distributors, and contractors
- Represents Zurn in the field during installation, troubleshooting, or other post-sales support
- Coordinates additional support activities and post-sales technical support with engineering departments
- Assists in identification of trends in field issues and recommend design or process improvements
- Determines and communicates product technical strength/weaknesses vs. competition
- Assists the NPD team with BETA Testing Process by identifying potential opportunities, helps obtain feedback and monitor product performance to support the GTMS strategy
- Travels to customers installation sites to represent ZURN in the field to observe product installation and field performance
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or other technical discipline with 3-5 years of experience, or 4 years of experience in a related area in lieu of a degree
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and fixture installation
- Willingness to learn product application use for commercial and residential buildings
- Basic knowledge of electronic application for various plumbing products
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Access)
- ACAD/Inventor Computer skills
- Ability to drive project based actions
- Must have ability to lead, train, and drive change
- Self motivated individual able to multi-task effectively and work in a fast-paced environment
