Completes field inspections and related responsibilities
Measures fields, storage bins, and discusses findings of crop loss with farmers
Conveys complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people
Performs fact finding regarding crop damage, records information, and transmits loss information
Gather relevant facts utilizing applicable law and establishing basic principles of negligence
Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned
Ensure legal compliance by maintaining a strong working knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures
Participate on projects as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or Equivalent
6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
Valid Driver’s License
Walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist position
