About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leverage Zurich’s risk engineering tools and services to improve customer risk
- Facilitate general account management of customers who purchase Zurich Construction’s Builder’s Risk Insurance product
- Manage business partner relationships within the region
- Conduct remote and onsite surveys and risk assessments of construction companies and projects including large data centers and the energy sector
- Provide technical support to customers, underwriters and the claims department by identifying improvement strategies
- Prepare external reporting to the marketplace and internal reports for underwriting and claims decisions to identify and manage risk
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree with 6 or more years of experience in the Construction, Engineering, or Risk Consulting field OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Construction, Engineering, or Risk Consulting field OR Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
- Experience working in a team environment
- High level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in either Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or equivalent
- 20 or more years of combined experience in Construction Management/Project Management/Engineering consulting
- Construction experience with an advanced level of knowledge of construction processes, quality management and associated risks and exposures
- Experience with data center construction
- Experience in energy projects (i.e. solar panel installations, geothermal power plants, hydroelectric dams, biomass power plants, nuclear power stations and SMR’s, power transmission lines, energy storage facilities)
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E Standards
- Hazard identification & mitigation skills; analytical aptitude
- Knowledge of project cost/scheduling and supply chains in construction
- Knowledge of Zurich Construction Builder’s Risk Insurance product
- Awareness of Construction Workforce and Economic issues
- Intermediate knowledge of exposures, controls and best practice risk improvement methodologies
- Capable of public speaking, presentation skills, developing programs to address industry needs and marketing/consulting services for fee
- Professional certifications: CCM, P.E., PMP, AIA, LEED AP, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and consulting skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Advanced Technical Writing skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, iOS/iPad Skills, Virtual Consulting
