About the role
- Based at our Frankfurt or Cologne office, you will take on both technical and disciplinary leadership and the management of a growing team of risk engineers in the Property/Mid‑Market division.
- As the primary point of contact, you will advise our industrial clients and brokers on all matters related to risk analysis and assessment.
- You will work closely with Underwriting to win and maintain customer and broker relationships.
- You will ensure that know‑how and expertise are continuously developed so that your team can provide competent advice to our clients and Underwriting.
- Together with your team, you will further develop our Risk Engineering services and contribute to assessments of emerging risks, protection concepts and best practices.
- In the day‑to‑day operations you will personally manage selected clients and produce technical risk assessments with a focus on fire and explosion protection, plant/process safety and natural hazards.
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering; alternatively Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience and solid expertise in technical risk assessment of industrial processes and property risks, including business interruption and natural hazards, and in the evaluation of holistic fire protection concepts
- Confident handling of business management and quality management systems; familiarity with VdS and NFPA guidelines
- Ideally experience in motivating and goal‑oriented leadership of employees
- Excellent communication skills in German and English
