About the role

  • At the Cologne site, you complete our tandem for event planning and administration in the Politics & Corporate Communications division.
  • You plan, organize and support PR events, press conferences, networking events, leadership conferences, company-wide meetings and large-scale events with up to 3,500 participants — from concept through to follow-up.
  • At the same time, you take on central administrative tasks — including selecting, booking and managing vendors and event venues as well as budget management and financial controlling.
  • In this role, you monitor and document compliance with guidelines and are responsible for procuring materials and managing participants, always keeping compliance requirements in a corporate environment in view.
  • With your expertise, you support the Head of Politics & Corporate Communications in day-to-day operations, particularly with travel and schedule planning.

Requirements

  • Strong multitasking skills and a proactive, structured and careful working style that ensures reliable and independent task completion
  • A strong "can-do" attitude — assertive, confident in negotiations, resilient and flexible with working hours
  • Confident use of MS Office 365, the Coupa ordering system and participant management systems
  • A well-established network in the events industry with solid knowledge of venues and their particularities (ideally in the Cologne area)
  • Comprehensive event experience — from managing agencies to meeting fire safety and security requirements for large events
  • Several years of relevant experience in event management and event organization
  • Driving licence class B
