About the role
- Develop, coach, and manage a high-performing regional team of Property underwriting staff
- Manage regional performance, including new business production and policy count retention
- Manage regional wholesale broker relationships and underwriter referrals
- Maintain a small production portfolio to stay attuned with regional market changes
- Travel as necessary to support team needs and cultivate key broker relationships (25%)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area
- OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 years of experience in claims or Under Support area
- OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate’s degree and 5 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area
- AND 2 years of management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience in Underwriting, Market Facing, or Risk Management area within the Commercial Insurance industry
- OR Bachelor’s Degree with 20 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area within the Commercial Insurance industry
- Experience in E&S Property
- 2 years of people management experience
