About the role
- Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers)
- Support the organization's sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers
- Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities
- Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Underwriting, or Market Facing area
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Experience working in a team environment
- For AVP, Underwriting Director, minimum 7 years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
- Technical knowledge of commercial Property Underwriting
- Established broker relationships in Southeast region
- Sales execution mindset
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
