About the role
- Manage moderate to low commercial liability claims involving toxic torts, latent injuries, and class action litigation including complex coverage and litigated issues
- Provide technical claims service on mostly litigated matters of moderate to high-severity and complexity
- Identify and mitigate risks, and deliver valuable industry insights
- Retention and management of counsel and other vendors
- Collaboration with internal and external contacts, including underwriters, customers, and brokers
- Negotiation and claim resolution
- Management of all communications and reporting associated during the life of a claim
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance area OR Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 2 or more years of experience in Claims or Insurance area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims or Insurance area
- Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products
- Microsoft Office experience
