About the role
- ensure delivery of financial reporting to Group Finance, regulators, and various legal Boards
- effective operation of control environments for the entities within your remit
- identify opportunities to enhance the controls landscape
- key liaison for external auditors and local Boards across non-insurance subsidiaries
- manage stakeholder relationships with local auditors, Finance management team, Group Accounting Policy and wider Finance department
- provide technical support for ad hoc project work as required
- lead the Non-Insurance Reporting team, developing team culture in line with Finance behaviours
Requirements
- qualified Accountant
- strong team management and leadership skills
- knowledge of financial services legislation, regulation and accounting policies
- ability to formulate and review highly technical Board papers
- excellent time and task management skills
- strong communication skills
- proven quick learner
- strong problem-solving skills
- high level of agility
- can-do attitude
- experience in building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders
