About the role

  • Play a key role in shaping our understanding of claims experience and customer behaviour in life insurance
  • Leverage advanced analytics - including GLM and machine learning - to uncover insights that inform strategy and drive impactful decisions
  • Take ownership of meaningful projects from start to finish
  • Lead the experience investigation process - conducting in-depth analysis and driving the review
  • Present financial implications to senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Strong understanding of experience investigation and assumption setting within life insurance
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python, enabling you to work with advanced analytics
  • Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques (e.g., GLM) and machine learning to uncover insights
  • Solid experience with database technologies like SQL and Snowflake
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with the Australian insurance and financial services market, including its structure, products, distribution, regulation, and governance
  • The ability to turn complex data into actionable insights that influence business decisions
