About the role

  • You are responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of a life insurance company in accordance with national and international accounting standards
  • You are responsible for implementing new accounting standards and reporting processes
  • You clarify specific application questions related to new products or transactions
  • You continuously optimize accounting processes with a focus on efficiency, quality and automation
  • You actively contribute your expertise to international and local accounting projects and work closely with other departments
  • You maintain communication with the group headquarters in Switzerland and with matrix and segment leads

Requirements

  • High level of commitment, strong initiative and an ability to work effectively in a team
  • Completed university or university of applied sciences degree (economics or similar), or commercial vocational training with further qualification as an (international) financial accountant — or interest in pursuing such a qualification
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Good written and spoken English
