About the role
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of potential and existing investments
- Manage the credit portfolio to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns
- Identify, assess, and monitor credit risks within the portfolio
- Prepare credit investments recommendation and proposal
- Continuously monitor the performance of the credit portfolio
- Engage with external stakeholders, including rating agencies and investment banks
- Assist and manage problem credits and participate in restructuring/recoveries exercises
- Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance and credit risk exposure
- Work closely with other departments to ensure cohesive approach to credit portfolio management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred
- Proven experience in credit analysis and portfolio management, preferably within the insurance industry
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent understanding of credit markets, investment strategies, and risk management principles
- Proficiency in financial modeling and the use of portfolio management software
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
