About the role
- Developing and optimizing data pipelines in Databricks
- Designing and implementing data models in a data lake environment
- Managing and configuring Unity Catalog for data asset governance and access control
- Collaborating with the German Data Management team to establish and adhere to data management principles
- Gather business requirements from Credit Lines Germany Team and deliver technical solutions in the go-to Datalake platform
- Preparing documentation and supporting the adoption of new data solutions
- Participating in testing, validation, and ensuring data quality
- Knowledge transfer and education of other team member to enables users of data assets for data self-serve for actuarial analysis and risk management
Requirements
- A university degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2–3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar technical role
- Practical experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake) and cloud-based data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Unity Catalog is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with documentation and process mapping
- Proficiency in German is a plus.
