About the role
- Accountable for ensuring teams meet key operational performance goals.
- Assess and evaluate underwriting processes to implement agreed technical standards, controls, practices, and procedures.
- Follows up regularly with producers to discuss the status of new business and upcoming renewals.
- Performs customer service and account management responsibilities, as needed.
- Conducts regular performance evaluations and career development conversations with staff.
- Makes staffing decisions concerning hiring and guides staff development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years' experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area.
- Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 or more years of experience for Sr UA Manager.
- Advanced knowledge of Casualty lines of business.
- People management or supervisory experience.
