About the role
- Based at the Frankfurt office, you will analyze national and international transaction, counterparty and group risks, contributing significantly to sound credit assessments
- You will independently make credit decisions within your authority
- You will prepare credit proposals for higher-level decision-making bodies and continuously monitor risks
- You will conduct risk discussions with policyholders, brokers and other stakeholders — on-site, in-house or via video conference
- You will be willing to travel internationally on occasion to personally support risk assessments and coordination
Requirements
- Team player with a structured, independent working style and the ability to manage conflicts
- Completed university degree (ideally with a focus on corporate lending) or a commercial apprenticeship with relevant experience in credit assessment, credit or surety insurance
- Many years of practical experience in credit assessment or trade credit/surety insurance, or equivalent experience as a credit examiner at a banking institution
- Solid knowledge of financial statement analysis, credit assessment and risk rating
- Very good industry and market knowledge and confident use of MS Office, Outlook and mainframe applications
- Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
