About the role

  • Analyze and underwrite new and renewal business.
  • Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers).
  • Support the organization's sales culture.
  • Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
  • Make broker/customer and on-site calls with planned purpose.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5+ years of experience in Underwriting, or Market Facing area.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10+ years of experience in claims or underwriting support area.
  • Zurich approved Apprenticeship program with an associate degree and 3+ years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area.
  • Zurich approved Apprenticeship program with an associate degree and 8+ years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • 7+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area for AVP role.
  • 14+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area for AVP role.
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing area for AVP role.
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support area for AVP role.
